I own a 2005 with the Audiophile (6 CD changer) system. I rarely use the cd changer but did so on a recent trip. At the end of the day I ejected the 4 cds I had previously inserted (turned key to acc position to accomplish). Several days later went to start the vehicle and the battery was dead. As I tried to start it I heard cd changer shuffling although there were no cds inside. Is it possible the changer somehow remained on and drained the battery? Of course I had removed the key so no power to unit and left nothing else on. And I'm pretty sure I changed the system back to fm stereo mode. Does this make any sense at all? I charged the battery and so far no problems. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

I think the CD player shuffled through the slots because it had lost memory when the battery died. It probably was just checking to see if any slots held disks.

Very possible. I was trying to determine the cause of the battery drain and the only unusual event I could associate was the cd issue. It could be something else. If so, perhaps it will appear again. Thanks for taking time to reply.
