cd changer in consol

i have a 92 explorer 4 door with a decent system, i want to put the kenwood 10 disk in the center consol, but dont know where to start, is it easy, can someone give me guidance.....if you have pics, that would help too....rob

Take a look at a factory installed cd changer and see how it is mounted.

I don't think that you are going to be able to fit the changer in the console. I tried putting a sony 10 disk in there and it wasn't even close to fitting. You could probably fit a 6 disk in there no problem. Our year explorers don't seem to be deep enought to hold the changers.

i see, so where did you mount yours then, mine is under the rear passenger seat, i swear i ve seen the changer in the consol before. our same year too....rob

I put mine in front of the console. In a fiberglass enclosure that I made.
