cd changer in console?

how hard is it to install a sony 10 disc cd changer in the front console of a 94? anyone ever do this?

I have never heard of doing it but you could just get a console from a 95+ and swap it in.

It CAN be done - I installed a Sony 10CD changer in the console of my '92 Explorer many years ago.

So long ago, I can't remember many details - but I seem to recall the console mounting bracket was a fairly stout cast aluminum piece, and I think I had to trim it slightly to make room for the changer.

I recall the changer was pretty noisy in that location, probably because I did not have all of the trim and sound-deadening materials they use in a factory console-install.
