I have a 94 LTD, with an aftermarket clarion Cd player, removable dash. I dont remember the model #, but its" b-6xxx" somtehing or other, 2001 model year, 45watts x 4. Everything works great however, its my first winter in the Canadian prairies and its getting down to -30' clecius. When I start up the car I get a message on the Display that says: "TEL" . No radio, no cd. The power is on, the speakers crackle when the ignition comes on, the cd ejects and goes back in if I want, but no sound. When the car warms up after 5-10 minutes, the TEL message goes out and the stereo works. What does TEL mean? Temperature Low maybe? Any solutions for this? Today I drove for 30 mins and it never came on? Any help would be nice. The clarion support web page is down so I cant reference a manual.

Cheers

i was gonna say check the manual or the website but you mentioned it's down. it's probably just a standard error message. i had an aftermarket kenwood unit in my firebird and it didn't like the cold, but once the car was running for a few minutes it was back to normal.

electronics do not like extreme cold.
Not much you can do about that other than see if Aldive knows of any houses for sale in Florida
