CEL QUESTION

Went on a trip to the smokies and half way there had the cel come on, nothing seems wrong all gauges showing good, truck running great. Then after I got off interstate cel went off, wierd it only came on after going 70-75 miles and about 2900-3100 rpm's for along period of time. Otherwise no problems, this was two weeks ago. Any suggestions? This was an elevated trip, little over 300 miles one way.

I would recomend havind the codes scanned. I'll bet there is a history code related to the EGR.

EGR SCAN

I will do that thanks, thought it might be fuel pump not as strong as when new.What would I be looking for if it is egr? Clog, loose hose, or just wore out?

Get the trouble code(s) before anything else.
