I recently purchased a '95 Sport with pretty much the standard no-frills interior. It has a center console between the seats without a padded armrest. Given their tendency to break, I figured that's what must have happened to this one, except that there is no support bracket inside the console, or for that matter studs coming up from the floor to mount said bracket.
I went to the dealer to try and find the cap to plug the hole where the bracket should come through, but the parts book does not show such a cap, leading me to believe that they all had the armrest.
Does anyone out there have the center console without the armrest; in other words, that came that way from the factory? It's not comfortable to drive without having some place to rest your right arm.
