Hi I’ve been trying to follow the relearn procedure and after I do the six button taps the window only wants to go up then I hold the button to close and it goes down a few inches and stops. If I try to hit the down side it does nothing. I’m stumped if anybody has any ideas it would help so much thank you !

The rear window on mt '01 ST sometimes works properly and other times, once opened, will only go up part way and then goes down again. This began after I'd forgotten it open and it rained overnight. It might be that the glass channels need to be lubricated, because if too much resistance is sensed while the window is going up I believe it can reverse. I like to use Liquid Wrench brand foaming silicon spray on my window channels about one a year. It has worked wonders though I've never used it on my rear window to-date. Are you aware that there is an emergency procedure for getting the rear window closed? It's outlined in the owner's manual. I don't recall the steps, but it's fairly simple and it works. I rarely put my rear window down, so it's not a big deal to me.

No I didn’t know I will have to look that up as I don’t have a owners manual thank you !this really has me stumped

Security Override
If, during a bounce-back condition, the control is held in the clockwise (“up”) direction for at least two seconds, the back window will travel up with no bounce-back protection. If the control is released before the window reaches fully closed or the ignition is switched to OFF or START, the back window will reverse direction with bounce-back re-enabled.
