I have a 1999 V6 XLT SOHC explorer and I need to locate the central junction box. Specifically the accessories delay relay. I have checked the box under the hood and that's not what I'm looking for. Someone online said it's under the hood. Any help?

On our 99 Sport 4.0 SOHC there is one drivers side rear engine compartment & there is a smaller one by the air filter box.

relay module

The accessory delay relay is located in the relay module located behind the right end of the instrument panel. You may be able to access it by removing the A/C & heat control panel. There are 7 relays in the relay module. I don't have a drawing of the relay module but the accessory delay relay has the following wires connected to it:
LG/OG
LB/RD
RD/LB
LB/BK

The following thread describes the location and identification: How to: Install Front and Rear Courtesy Lamps
