I was about to change the 4x4 motor on the transfer case and it has the plug that conects to the harness and one wire that runs by it's self that I couldn't pull out easily and was wondering if you have to splice it with the new motor or do I need to pull a little harder? I've been using pliers under the xploder to engage my 4 wheel drive but am getting the motor soon and don't want to break that wire.Thanx for any advice anyone might have

The brown wires goes to the electro-magnetic clutch within the T-Case. You will have to either cut and splice the wire or remove the wire from the connector. If you pry up the red retainer ring it will allow you to remove each wire individually from the connector.
