*I hope this is in the right section. If not, could a Mod kindly advise and move! Thanks!* :wavey:

Hey all. When we got our Ex' last year, she already had alarm installed. The LED that shows it's armed is in a spot that is barely visible, and it's very small on top of that. Is it possible to use any other type of LED and install one, say, in each A pillar so they can be seen?

Thanks in advance! ;)

What alarm system is it?
Most alarm systems use a plug in LED with long wires going to it, and you can't really use more than one without splicing new LEDs with resistors in line.

It's a Pursuit Pro series (not to familiar with these). The only reason I'm asking is that I have a few of the pre-wired superflux 4 chip LED's from Oznium
laying around and I thought they could add a little visual deterrent when armed.

So it's an Audiovox.
It should have 2 wires going to the LED, positive and negative.
I'm not sure if Audiovox uses 12V LEDs or a standard 3V LED. I would cut the wires at the original led, connect a multimeter, arm the alarm so the LED would be blinking, then check the voltage it gets to blink.
When you do that, find out if your LED Chip is the same voltage, if it is, it should work in it's place. Just connect + and - and enjoy.
