I did a search and came up with no answers( I may have searched wrong) I am wanting to change my differentials to synthetic fluids in my 95 XLT. What type of fluid should I use? DO I need anything special for the rear limited slip? What should I use to clean the inside. Brake cleaner or????

Thanks

Tim

I used 80w-90 for mine when I changed mine. I used a synthetic blend though. I think that if you used a full synthetic lube that is all you need. But if you use regular lube or a blend get the Friction Modifier from Ford, like $2-3.

I used a paper towel to wipe out the diff and brake cleaner to clean up every thing else.
