Charging system light

My charging system light has been on for like a week now. I put a brand new battery in it, not even two months ago. With the car running I read 14.66 volts across the cattery terminals with the multi-meter. Am I missing something? 1996 Explorer 4.0.

do you have an amp gauge (battery gauge) or just the dummy light?

that is about the right voltage, well maybe a little low, but not bad...
