CHAT ROOM NOT WORKING

Well, i can try and try again, but i can never connect to the chat room. I have never been able to even get close. It will sit there and "load", but it is so slow, and it says that i can't connect to the server. What is up with that....i wanna chat, but i can't. I am mad.

I have DSL and it works great, as far as i know, the only thing i have is Zone Alarm which asks if certain things can be downloaded or certain programs can connect to the internet, but nothing ever came up....i am confused

hrmm, i dunno then, if its just our chat room. im on cable modem with a router and when i go in the chat room, it takes forever for me to get in, but once im in, its all good (but i dont use the web based version of chat, but that shouldnt make a difference - it should be all the same ports.) sorry man.

Try using a stand-alone chat program and not the java web-based chat. The server is karma.othersideirc.net and the channel is #Explorer4x4.

Another thing: I had downloaded sun microsystem's Java SDK and it messed up my browser..go into the settings and use microsoft's VM java plug in and it'll work again....or at least that was my probl;em
