- 2000 Sport 5 speed manual
I saw some maglite stuff on Amazon, so I decided to buy a 4 d-cell LED maglite and some mounting brackets to go with it. It fits perfectly in my 2000 Sport just in front of my stickshift. I like it because it's easily reachable, low and well secured in the event of an accident, and bright as all hell. Sorry about the poor quality cell phone pictures.
If you've already got a d-cell maglite, the mounts are like 5 bucks on Amazon. They're plastic, but they feel fairly sturdy and I don't think the flashlight will come loose if things get rough. I had some black plastic stuff down there that might have something to do with the driver/passenger HVAC, but I'm not sure. It didn't seem terribly important, so I didn't feel bad about drilling to mount the mounts.
