Cheap lift.

Hi, I am new to here, and hopefully this is in the right spot :s What is needed to do a spring-over swap on the rear, and would f-150 coils spacers in the front be enough to compensate for the rear? Thanks for the help.

An SOA is 5.5+ inches of lift.. the F-150 spring seat (spacer) is 1 5/8" lift.. not even close to the same height..

I'll be attemping an SOA rear with a Duff 2.5" front lift + f-150 spacers and a 1" sloped body lift and I may still need a custom rear leaf pack to lower the rear some (I may just leave it if its only 1" difference).

i just put in the f150 coil spacers...and spent 50 on new bushings and 150 for an alginment, not really worth it

you got ripped man allighnment shouldn't have been that much
bushings should have been like 25$

By the way you can do it your self it doesn't have to be perfect most shops just get it close enough anyway.

actually he didn't get "ripped" after installing f150 coil seats you have to get an alignment costing about $150. so hes right on the money.

< $100 for the alignment and then the camber bushings parts..

acually he did get ripped cause my allignment 2 months ago cost 65$ plus 22$ for the bushings.

Plus you can do it your self with pliers and a socketwrench. Just buy the bushings from autozoo

I'd have to agree that he didn't get the best price, but its not a rip off..

I was paying $85 for my alignments. I tried other places but (some cheaper) but I found that the place that cost me more up front cost me less in the long run. The alignments would hold much better when I got them from the $85 place (it was the tech I used, not the shop)

Buying your own bushings and installing them is easy IF you know what size to get. If you get your alignment checked so you know how far off you are and know what size bushings you already have you can buy the right size and install them.

At $200 for a alignment (including bushings) I'd start to say its over paying.. $150 just isn't a great price, but IMHO its not an overcharge either especially since prices vary so juch depending on the size of town your in, what part of the country your in and how many alignment shops there are in town.

Every time I read that I read $150 for the alignment with bushings.. I never saw that it was $150 + $50..

Yea.. thats over priced.. unless its a lifetime waranty alignment..

$150 with bushings is livable.. $200 with bushings is more than pushing a reasonable price..
