cheaper to buy used carrier or new ring and pinion

i want to switch from a 3.27 to a 4.10 they want 350 install plus the price for ring and pinion and install kit so it would be around 600 bucks. would it be easier to just buy a whole new rear carrier and have that put in, that way i could also find one with limited slip?????? thanks SEAL

You can't just swap carriers - you have to set the gear lash, and other stuff.

$350 to change both the front and rear isn't too bad.. I pay $150 for the rear, $300 for the front. They keep screaming about that front.. and that they aren't charging enough.

Also, my front gear cost for 4.56's was $180, so figure about twice that gives you both front and rear.

I'd love to only pay 150 for the rear, I'm looking to get my posi put in and lowest I've gotten is 260!
