check engine light on a/con all the time and cycling

i have 93 ford ranger 4.0 m/t 2 wd check engine light on. a/c stays on all the time and cycles switch on or switch off.ecm tells me a/c is on even when i pull the relay.ecm also telling my code reader that its a 4 cylander. do i have to replace ecm?
