Hello Everyone.
I'm a new member here and what drove me here is a check engine light on my stock 02 Sport Trac with 55K miles. I'm gonna rent a code reader from local Auto Zone to see what the problem might be. The truck runs good with no symptoms of trouble whatsoever. Any of you guys experience this issue and if so what are some of the most common problem code conditions to look for? Thanks. RC

Greetings,
I found the check engine light problem was a P1400 fault code using a OBD-II, indicating the differential feedback pressure sensor (DPFE) voltage was reading low. I replaced the sensor, cleared the codes and have experienced no more problems. $31. part at Auto Zone. I also recommend purchasing a Haynes Explorer repair manual for around 20 bucks to point you in right direction on where to look for things =)

Yeah, you just need to read the code and see what it says

why would it be that sensor i wonder. maybe heavy 4x4 use, i have the same problem, and i have the auto 4x4, maybe everyone does, i just got my X on 2-22
