check engine light on

My check engine light just came on and the scanner says it's the egr valve I replaced this about 8 months ago so I replaced it again and had the light reset well it just came on again what can i check now

Exactly what is the code you're getting?

they didn't say just it was the egr valve

Have someone read the code again and tell you the number, post it here and we'll go from there. Without that code you're just guessing.........
