So my light has been on for alomst a year and I need to fix it before I get it inspected. The code said that it was the O2 sensor. Bank 1 sensor 2. I replaced it, cleared the code, and it still keeps coming on telling me that Bank 1 sensor 2 is bad. What it going on? Thanks for the help.

what is the actual code?

You might need to check the wiring, if changing the sensor didn't work.
And make sure you get the code, if you're going to Autozone, I found sometimes they just guess.

Please get the actual code number.

One thing that you need to realize, the computer generates a code when it sees a input that is out of the expected range. The code that it displays is determined by what someone has programed the computer to display.

Now the computer can not tell the difference between a bad sensor, or a open wire, or the source voltage. All that the computer can tell is that the input is out of range. So if you read a code, do not assume that the sensor is bad. You could have a problem with the wiring.

Now in the case of your O2 sensor code. Depending on the code, it could be a blown fuse, bad wiring, or a bad PCM. You have replaced the sensor, and the code remains, so now you have to eliminate all the other possibilities.
