I've got a 2001 ford explorer v8. My check engine light keeps coming on and it says that i need to replace the primary ignition coil. I have replaced the coil packs and it did not resolve the problem, any ideas on what could be causing the code to come up. Maybe plugs???????

Also my rear window wiper only wipes one side, any suggestions on how to fix that problem???

Have you tried a search on coil packs?

when you say it only wipes one side, you probably mean that it still swings the full amount, but only touches the window on that one side, right? Do a search on here, I remember seeing a detailed post on how to shave something off the wiper arm or blade to get it to stay on the glass better while it is rotating. If I was mistaken by your description, and the arm only moves halfway, its probably time to look at the wiper motor. Hopefully someone remembers the post I'm talking about though, and can post a link, because Im guessing thats your problem.

Please give us the exact code that the vehicle is setting. Primary ignition - there is hardly any on these vehicles. The coil is the only thing, but that is why I want to get the code to see exactly what the code means. It should be a P0XXX or P1XXX code.
