Check engine light/spark knock

Hello,
I have a couple of interesting problems with my 94 102K. My check engine light is on, runs good. Also have a spark knock under acceleration. Could they be related? What would be the most common cause of the check engine light? Also the engine never gets up to operating temp. I plan to put in a higher degree thermostat. Maybe the temp problem could be related to the spark knock. Any ideas?

Take her to Autozone. They will read the codes for free. Get the codes and post them up here and I can look them up for you.
