Check how a forum community should really be

First off, I give all props to this forum. I have known about it since Oct. 2004 and literally go into it everyday. I enjoy cheking out other's rides and comparing to mines and also seeing what else I can do to enhance my explorer experience. you all have to agree that what we all learn in this site simply kicks ass.
However, I have been thinking about ways on how to improve the whole forum experience. One way that came to mind was for those who live in the same state or borough to meet each other and form some type of informal club. basically the idea is to use everyone's knowledge so we can get the best out of our X. I know this can be a great way to not only meet new people, but also finding out ways to improve our rides and just learn from one another. This dawned upon me because my family for example owns an electronics store and all my boys and I get our goodies from there. we save tons of dough. I guess since I am not as auto knowledgistic (i know it's not a real word but it should be) about cars, this is my way on contributing to the forum. Just like I have my connections, I am sure others in the forum do as well. I see some of the jobs and mods people do and I get blown away. I would pay for someone to do it for me or at least teach me. It's just hard to just come out and ask someone to do some job for you if you don't know them. anyways, maybe I am getting ahead of myself, but let me know what you think guys.

Isn't that what the Explorer Groups and Land Issues forum is for? It's simple, if enough people can form a smaller group, run the idea past Rick, and he might give the group its own sub-forum.

Sounds like a plan....im from Brooklyn as well...i would like to know how to do some of things that are featured here or even team up with someone to help me in some way....

Those goes from Brooklyn, maybe we can meet up shoot some ideas...Nycejokes im looking to get a Dual Din Unit that has a monitor/dvd player...from kenwood maybe get a discount or something...i was planning Canal Street...im not sure yet
