I recently traded in my 2002 XLT 2WD V6 with 83k on it for this beautiful 2003 Limited 4x4 V8 with 48k. I put 20" Cobra R's and just installed the clear corners today. Drop in K&N in it too. 15% front/5% rear window tint to come, but that's about it for mods probably.

On the inside I'm leaving the in dash 6 but hooking up RCA cables to run my 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2 dual voice coil with RF bd500 power series amp.

I would lower it if the end result wouldn't cost around $700. I would get full intake and custom cat back if the end result wasn't around $550ish for nothing more than sound really.

All thoughts are welcome!

Nice looking truck!!! CongRats!

You really need to get the vehicle lowered. Get rid of that wheel gap. You can get the springs from explorerexpress.com, then buy the camber adjusters from http://www.ultrarev.com/Camber_Alignment_Kits-c346.html. Just get 2 front and 2 rear. It shouldn't cost you $700 to do. Your X looks great, I just hate the wheel gap.

For me to do no, it would not cost $700, but I'm not going to install springs (which wouldn't be hard, I just don't wanna do it) and the camber adjusters (which i don't have a clue how to do, and really don't wanna mess with it). So with that being said it probably would cost me + - $700 for labor and parts. I know that when i was quoted by firestone to replace my struts they were going to charge more than the strut cost ($75) just in labor per strut. So one could assume that removing the struts to put on different springs would be the same price if not more... Then is the labor for camber adjusters. Plus I would lean towards getting the lifetime alignment for $139 incase something was outta whach later on down the line or if I decided to remove the lowering springs.

All in all i COULD get a decently fair price on all of the above because i am a frequent customer at firestone and have become fair friends with the manager, but it would be close to $700 (parts and labor).

If you think not, then please tell me how. I just cannot justify the money for a drop. I'd rather spend more than $700 and get a navigation or something.

I see what your saying, I'm gonna do my drop myself. I bought used springs for 125, then then camber adjusters for 86, and a spring compressor for 30. So all I'll have in mine is around $250, well worth it. I have everything in the garage waiting to be installed. Have you thought about tinting the tail lights?

Yes, but I'm not sure if I want to go with darker (smoked) tail lights with clear corners and light paint........

Should i paint the calipers? I have a poll on cardomain...

looks very nice! painting the calipers would'nt look bad. i think im gonna do the same.
