Hay guys been reading these post for awhile and found alot of useful information. My question is about engine swaping. I inherited SBC 400 and a th400 tranny. Is there anyway of hooking this up into 93 ford explorer 4x4 if so what company could i get the adapter to hook it up to the drivetrain. anyone got any ideas.......

If anybody were to have that adapter, it would be advance adapters....

yeah i went to advanced adapters website and all i could find was an adapter that would enable one to install a ford tranny onto a chevy engine. I need an adapter from the chevy tranny to ford drivetrain....

AA made a kit to hook up a 700r4 to a 4.0, but Im not sure if they have released it yet. I hate to say it, but you may be better off selling them and buying ford V8 with a C6, or AOD.

I dont know it will be hard to let this chevy setup go because its naturally aspirated and a 8000 rpm it pumps out 608hp and 532flb of torque. back to research........

If your going to make the swap, bolt up a Chevy spec transfer case also (passengerside). You can purchase a case for less that an adapter. Then all thats left is making it fit under the itty-bitty, hood.
