Can someone tell me how to properly set and test the child safety locks?

I have set the child safety lock on 1 door to 'on' then closed the door.
When the car is moving and all the doors are locked, the locks all still operate manually.
When entering or leaving the car, all the locks operate normally.
...lol everything is normal...:D

With the lock set to the ON or Lock position, the rear door should only be able to be opened from the outside.

There is a 'sticky' about a recall on Child Safety Locks.

Ill test it, I thought it would only set correctly if auto-locking was disabled.
My car is not on any recalls but one never knows...
Thanks

The locks still work, they go up and down. But the inside handle is disengaged.

This is a random question, but it just popped into my head. If I have the child safety locks engaged, is there any way to open the doors from the inside? I’ll be honest, I’m away from our 2017 right now, but my wife is asking, so I thought I’d poll the experts. She’s concerned if we get into a crash and are unable to open the front doors, would we be able to still open the rears...thanks everyone!

Your thread was merged with this one.

As per the Owner's Manual;
CHILD SAFETY LOCKS
When these locks are set, the rear doors cannot be opened from the
inside.

Being able to open them from the inside would defeat their purpose.

An accident like that the side windows r designed to shatter so that's why they are tempered just right u could bump a door with a car and shatters a window but u could bounce rocks off the glass it wont break. I think if the tracks flex the window is gone. They have those hammers but no.... Trade secret... Spring loaded center punch ....one little click on anything tempered glass the window will disappear...
