chimes and door ajar,interior lights.always on

I posted this problem and tried WD-40 trick. The interior lights went out and the door ajar went out for awhile. Now the interior lights sometimes comes on when not suppose to and door ajar light is also on... Biggest part of problem is I can hear the chimes very low all the time.If I don't drive everyday I get a dead battery. What other solutions are there?

You're going to have to find the specific door switch that is defective and replace or disconnect it. They are physically in the latch mechanism at the rear of the door. Start with driver's door, since you hear the chimes and they are only tied into driver's door being open. Also possilbe that you have a broken wire associated with a door sensor, again most likely in the driver's door bundle.

there was an excellent post with pics a few months ago on replacing the door switch. start with the diver's door because of the chimes and because it wears out first. it's easy to replace once the door panel is removed.
