Alright...I know the lecture...DONT GO THAT FAST IN AN EXPLORER!!

I've hit hte limited at 109....at only 2800 RPMS. Is there a chip to override the speed limited yet? Or how do I go about doing that.

Just so everyone knows..only on a track with high-speed rated tires. Im not an idiot

I think it's resentable that these car manufacturers kowtow to the government with these crippling limiter devices. Not that I condone speeding, but the concept that car manufacturers can be intimidated by the feds to intentionally cripple their vehicles is just absurd.
Interestingly, they don't limit motorcycles--just Google "Ghostrider" and you'll find plenty of bikes exceeding 200mph on public highways.
I don't know if there's a reprogram for the X, but I do empathise with your concerns about it.
Anyway, with Ford's stock headlamps, you wouldn't want to drive much over 35mph at night. :)

haha

ya. So true with the headlights. I have a set of off-road lights I use at night since i live in a somewhat country environment where there is no cars at nightt.

An SCT programmer with the appropriate tune can raise the speed limiter.
