From my experience, any eBay auction that has the word "mod" in it or gives you a promised HP in the title, is crap.

well, it's not a chip. It's a Radioshack resistor that you're supposed to put into the wiring for the IAT, intake air temp sensor. This fools the computer into adjusting the timing and fuel for more power.

IMO, it is not safe for the motor. It can lead to running too lean or rich, detonation, and other problems.

Anything "mod" that only cost $2.95 without a reserve is total BS.

A "real" computer chip or programmer is usually $200-300.
