Is there a way to adjust the choke on a 97 5.0? Sometimes it will work but most of the time it will just start and idle normal and I have to hold my foot on the gas to get the engine warm. Pain in the a$$ I traced the cable back to a box on the left fender and it appears to be some type of choke. The cable is wrapped around a spool and I assume tightens due to a temp sensor? Any ideas would be appreciated!

It's yourt IAC that is out, and needs to be replaced. That is what controls your idle speed when the vehicle is cold and hot. Mine just very recently went out, and when I drove home from work after 8 hours, I had to keep one foot on the gas and the other on the brake to keep it running. I changed the IAC the next day ($35 bucks) and all is well. Try that.

THANKS! That was it! I tried cleaning the IAC and no luck. Replaced and working great now.
