chosing a dana44?

Is there a certain way or thing to look for while purchasing a dana 44. A guy is selling one for $250 with a custom truss off of a 99-04 grand Cherokee WJ.

As for that axle from a Cherokee - you sure that's a D44 and not a D30? Cauz as I recall, the rear axle is a D44 but the front is probably not.

It was the rear. I didn't realise

Yeah, and be careful when people use the term "rear" - cauz sometimes they'll interchange that word for "axle".. so sometimes they'll use the oxymoron "front rear" to mean the "front axle". Humans are so confusing.
