Would anyone know for SURE if the iac would cause it to chug/barely start then rev up and act/rev normal? Only when it starts up does it chug or barely start. It's doing it almost all the time now. Plus it whistles more now with ac on. But does iac cause it to chug at start up/barely start then rev up to 1500rpm on cold starts?

Sorry I just cant stress that point enough if iac will cause it to chug or barely start at start up

you don't say what engine you have. if you have a 4.0L SOHC your problem is most likely caused by leaky manifold o-rings/gaskets. iac issues can cause a whistle though.

Try spraying some carb cleaner at the intake gasket areas when it's chugging next time. If it changes run characteristics, you found your issue.

click on people's: Vehicle Specs It says what they have if properly filled out, I noticed you haven't that's why you haven't looked at mine. v6 ohv xcode.

Nope, brand new gaskets and heads. But the gasket for headers(stock exhaust manifold) is some cheap brand but only a year old. I do know about iac whistling, been cleaned a few times but since its Idle air control was wondering if that's why the rough start up
