clacking sound belt?

i just put a new belt tensioner on to help to solve this problem and its still happening idk if its the belt thats stretched out or what. its not as bad as it was before but at a low idle it starts clacking it will stop if i put a load on the alternator tho(holding window buttons up

what do yal think is wrong?

Use a long screwdriver like a stethoscope to pinpoint where the sound is coming from. It sounds to me like your alternator is junk. Holding the window button up shouldnt stress it that bad

yeah that was my other thought i thought it was the belt slapping but the fact that it still does it with the new tensioner gets me thinking im wrong but yeah like i said when i hold the window button up when the windows are up makes it stop, and it only does it at a certain rpm at idle while in drive. the range of rpms when the sound happens is about 150 rpms. i know its not my timing chains becaus it would still make noise at higher rpms

this might sound dumb, but have you ever checked your fan and power steering pulley bolts? they might be lose and cause the same kind of sound.

I put a new tensioner on mine and it continued to slap/slip. The belt also had to be replaced.

i know my powersteering pulley bolts are tight i had that pulley off the other day here are my 2 ideas one is that ill replace the belt and see if that helps anything because at times i was getting a slight squeek from the belt on cold start. and my other idea is the rear timing chain tensioner (but that doesnt make any sense because why would it stop if a load is put on the alternator? my thinking of this was when theres a load on the alt that would tighten up the belt more idk anybodys help is appreciated
