I am trying to determine what to replace next on my 02 xls. I just did U joints and Sway links and still have a clanking sound when in reverse and applying the brakes. It looks like there is a bit of play with the right caliber. What else could it be? I did recently replace Rotors, Brakes and U joints today. If someone can lead me in the right directions solving this or is this a common issue. Much appreciated!

The common issue would be the parking brakes having come apart.
Have to take the rear rotors off to get to them.

Info can be had in this forum on the topic.

I'll research that topic of can someone post the link so I have the correct one. So that is what is causing it on the right front then?

I didn't notice that you'd said front. There should be zero play in the caliper.
Something hasn't been properly tightened.
