clarion screen and dvd

i want to bypass the saftey parking brake wire but i dont want to take a chance smoking it anybody know before mi wire this thig up it says to do it the the ground side of the parking brake warning light that makes me think it could be grounded or get some type of remote wire signal please help!!!

all u have to do is ground it. any ground... that'll bypass it right there. i spliced it into the ground for the offroad lights i used to have... took care of that problem.

i tried to bypass it buy grounding it and had no luck any more help

i don't see why it wouldn't work. not saying it doesn't but i just don't know why its not. i think all u do when you put your emergency brake on is it grounds the wire and the screen can play. i had first bought a clarion indash screen grounded the wire and all was fine (i figure all clarion screens should hook up about the same... anyways about a week later the screen messes up. had a defect. got a kenwood hooked it up the same way. works fine... friend has a pioneer in dash screen. hooked up the ground and works for him. i don't know if it makes a difference but mine is grounded to a wire going directly to the battery.

I ran into the same problem last week when I was hooking mine up. I grounded it and it still didnt work. I ran a switch to it and it works great. All you got is a hot, ground and the acc which is the parking brake wire..Try that and itll work

i finally got it to work i created a switch in the dash between the 12 ignition and ground with an led and hooked it to the groung side with a switch in the ground wire the switch has to be their because clarion has it so that when the unit is on then it is grounded so the switch allows me to turn it off or on and the led lets me know whether im grounded or not thanks for the help guy much appriciated
