Its a bad pic b/c the sun was setting and it has brown tit that looks like dust. I do need to shine up the metal on the P/S pump and intake tho.

looks good!
wats the best way to clean/polish everything?

I just took my car to a self car wash and sprayed it down with the engine cleaner with the engine still on. Let it set for a mint then sprayed it down with water but the low seting not the high pressure. I would have to say just get some polish and a rage and just get to it with that. Kinda a pain in the but that y i haven't done it yet.

Here is mine...

hell, that looks great, thats how i want mine to look, how'd you do that?

well it started the day I bought it with 12,000 miles.
Clean it weekly at least and you end up wit that.

Seriously. You have to get on top of it and stay on top of it. I spray simple green over the whole engine and let it sit for about five minuts. The rinse. The dry with a towel. Wax the jambs and metal parts. Hit all the hoses, rubber and plastic with Meguars Shine, and spray the chrome with glass cleaner.

Here is what mine looks like, took these today...

i'm going to take a guess and say in the second generation they started moving stuff around the engine bay?

battery is on the right instead of left, just like the fluids (washer, radiator)

True. Things were moved around to accommodate the V8, and also for the SOHC a little later on. The intake design of the two motors probably is what made them change it.

very true.
I'm going to paint some stuff in the engine red, just not sure what yet...haha

The caps yes the hoses no.
The hoses are actually wire loom covers from Pep Boys.
