Cleaned MAF the other day....

No more ping!!(at least it took out 95%). I had done it about 9 months ago, but i guess you have to do it fairly often.
Does anybody know HOW often you should do it??

Its best to check it every time you replace or service your air filter.

monmix, i think theres a thread in the "useful threads" forum explaining what to use and exactly how to do it. as soon as it gets warmer out, im going for this too; its on my mile long list of things to do to the X

I use an "electronic cleaner". It leaves no residue. For us Canadian members, I got it at Canadian Tire for under $5.00. Look at the label and make sure it is safe to use on plastics and doesn't leave a residue.

Thanks Bashman, I have got a whole case of spray contact cleaner designed for electronics.

I cleaned mine this weekend. I used Acetone on a foam (clean room type) swab. It worked great, my idle smoothed out ; it was starting to shake a bit at idle.
