Cleaning out the instrument panel clusters

Hey guys, i had a question, being that there is some dust inside of my instrument cluster behind the clear cover, would it be bad to , when your wipeing it , move the needles? That wouldn't mess anything up would It?

Not as long as the truck is off and the needle housings are not moved from the positions that they are (by friction) held to on the pins.
