I used windex and a paper towel to clean the clear plastic that covers the instrument cluster on my 2001 explorer sport and now it has tons of very fine scratches on it and looks not as clear. Can I fix this?

I've "heard" people use Plastx on the plastic cover over instrument clusters. I've used it on plastic headlights and the stuff works well, I haven't tried it on the cluster cover though.

I use meguiars finish wax and 100% cotton shirt or rag.

Might try some toothpaste to get the scratches out.

I've heard toohtpaste for a windshield, where the scratch isn't deep enough to catch your finger nail....but plastic polish or finish wax works great for speedo lenses, headlights, and tail lights.
