Im pretty sure this woould solve my problem but im not that good with cars nor do i have the confidence to do it, ive read about it all over the site but it seems to intimidating to me. Is it possible a shop would do it for me and for how much anyone know???? Thanks

I doubt it. Procedure can be iffy unless you have a good understanding of the mechanics. While cheap for someone to do at home, it does take some time. I wouldn't do it and provide a guarantee just to save someone a couple bucks. Just to have them come back the next year and complain that it doesn' work again.

I agree with OperaHouse. Cleaning and overhauling the shift motor is a do-it yourself project. Any shop you go to will recommend a new unit ($180 ish). If you do have a new one installed get the old one back so you can "practice" on it.

thanks

Yeah sounds like a plan guys, thanks for the advice, ill just take to a pro.
