a few days ago inoticed a clicking sound coming from the pass-side rear, i jacked up and pulled tire off to see if something had got caught up in there. Nothing. i blocked the rest of the tires and put it in neutral and began to slowly turn hub. the clicking sound was there but seemed to be comming from up the shaft, any help insight would be much apreciated. thanks....

I have a 2000 explorer limited V8 and i had the same problem. It took me a while to figure it out. The parking brake is inside the the rear rotors and the material had fallen off the shoes and was loose inside the rotor. I took the rotors off and took the parking brake apart and the noise went away. You might want to try that.
