When I turn the Temp Control from Cold to Hot, I get a clicking noise and no heat. The clicking starts at the Warm position. The Heat works fine in the back of the vehicle('02 Explorer XLT). Is this a Blend Door issue or an Actuator gone bad? Does anyone have any suggestions and possibly be able to give me a good idea of where to look for these parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated since I know that if I don't do this myself, I'll be paying someone some pretty high Labor charges!

The source of your problem may depend on, exactly where do you hear the clicking sound coming from?

The sound is coming from about the center of the dash, possibly near the glove compartment. Sound familiar?

In my 97 Limited the blend door is behind the glove box close to the firewall on top of the air plenum. When my blend door motor when out is sounded the same way.

Good luck.

I'll take that into consideration when I get ready to pull off that dash. I wanted to get some feedback before I spent that time on taking it apart. Thanks for your time and feedback.

Your more than welcome. It took me two days to get mine out and a long day to get it back in. I screwed up the passenger air bag cover because I didn't know the air bag and cover are one unit :( . Be sure to disconnect your battery and wait for at least 15 minutes before removing the air bag unit. Sure is a pain that you have to remove the dash for one screw  - you can get to the rest with a little effort.

Good luck. If you need any thing else let me know.
