I notice an intermittent clinking noise from underneath. It seems to be from right behind the transmission and the noise comes on and off regardless if it is in park, neutral, or drive. I can hear it with the windows roll down when driving.
It sound very metallic, as if something is lose, likely external. I crawled underneath but could not ID the source.
Any comments and advise will be appreciated.

I'm thinking one of your cats is coming apart. There's a cone in there and it will rot after a while and shake around your cat and break apart and eventually go threw your exhaust system and exit. No calls for concern yet. If it was going throw a code it would have by now. Because the cat isn't functioning properly.

Clinking noice problem fixed

Hi Wary-Wary,
The protective shield at the bottom of the cat came lose. The front welding gave way. Vibrations caused the shield to bang against the cat. I used a stainless steel hose clamp to tighten it up.
Thanks for pointing me at the right direction. Much appreciated.
