Hi there,
My horn, Air bag light (and ABS light for that matter) are either not working or the corresponding light is on! From what i've read here, it seems it could be the clockspring? What the hell is this?

Thanks!

the clockspring returns the wheel to center after turning and also passes a sensor to tell the turn signal to turn off after a turn, i think... i am sure others will comment

The clockspring is under the steering wheel. It ensures a positive connection between the steering column wiring harness and whatever controls are on the steering wheel, and especially the airbag igniter. You have to pull the steering wheel to replace it.

Is this a DIY'er? I'm pretty good with 'stuff'! lol. Could this also make the ABS light intermitently go on?

the air bag is plashing what seems to be a code 12?

Yes, and yes. It's a PITA to fish out the electrical connections in the column, but I did it and everything worked out just fine.

Use extreme caution when pulling the steering wheel/air bag module. Follow manual disassembly instructions carefully. The air bag could deploy if you don't dissconnect the neg batt terminal and wait 10 minutes for the fail safe to cut out. Death or serious injury issue, man.

Actually I would disconncet BOTH possitive and negative terminals.

That is what they taught me in the Air Bag training at least

Hey, thanks! I'll look into it this week, as i'm off to camping this comming weekend and i'd love to have everything working well...
