So my 02 Explorer has been making some noises that a person doesn't want to hear coming from their vehicle so i called a week or so ago to get it into the Ford Garage to have them diagnose the issue. I dropper her off the smorning and just called to see if they had made any progress on the diagnosis. hoping it was more and electrical issue(speed sensor) than a mechanical issue(TC itself) he ran some tests on it and the computer is saying that the magnet for the 4wheel drive is at 100% while it is siting still when it should be at 0%. He said that he is thinking its an electrical issue causing a mechanical issue. So i am hoping its just a speed sensor or possible the 4X4 module i don't really have the cash to replace the whole TC. He said he will be keeping it and doing some road tests on it tom. I hope there wasn't and incidental problem from me driving it a couple times with the noises i was hearing. I will update the post when i have more information.
