Okay so today I crossed a set of railroad tracks at about 60MPH, when I did I heard a loud pop and a continuous clunking after. When I got home, I checked under the front end and noticed my tire was leaning and massive wear on the inner tread. Basically I'm wondering is this a simple ball joint fix or am I going to have to start replacing parts under the truck? I am writing this on a tablet so I will add the pics in a few minutes, since I do not have an option to pull the pics from the tablet, I have to add them to a pic hosting website.

Sounds like time for Upper Control Arm replacement.

Just as an update, I am replacing ALL ball joints, I bought the truck a few months ago, but when I bought it the left upper ball joint was already getting bad, I just never caught it. driving 65 miles 5 days a week caught up the the factory ball joint quick, and deteriorated rapidly. I had a service Technician I've know for 5 years check my front end. All ball joints there are either very bad or getting bad. so with about $500 bucks (including a Camber/Caster kit that might already be installed on the truck) in parts I will be taking care of this today, including alignment my buddy will be giving me for free after hours. All the rubbers on the suspension are looking pretty good so they must have been changed out this year or last. All that is left for suspension after this work will be shocks, and helper springs on my leafs. Oh and a trashed tire replacement... LOL

More than likely the previous owner changed out the rubber suspension parts when strange noises first started appearing as they're cheaper to purchase and easy to replace.

The 98% will hold out to do the ball joints due to $$$$$$$$ and the subsequent alignment costs.

Yes it was expensive, but I also believe you get what you pay for, so I ordered the best ball joints I could get in town from Auto Zone. I'm sorry but how can you really go that long with a suspension problem??? I mean I PARKED it when I found out all the issues under my truck, I was worried of a failure while driving down I-95 or something. Guess that why I got it so cheap!! lol 1900 isn't a bad price for my truck, especially since it has aftermarket alarm (i think) clean interior and decent paint with no dings.
