What brand clutch do you guys recommend?? I know to stay away from Centerforce. Currently looking at Cumberland and Borg-Warner. Always liked Borg products and they are cheapest kit so far ($169). Explorer is currently daily driver but in 2yrs want to make it more offroadable so I am looking for a durable, possibly HD clutch. Should I resurface the pressure plate as well? It should not be scarred yet. Thanks, JR

Why do you say to stay away from centerforce? I have one in my Ranger and have never had any problems with it. Just curious...

I checked the past threads and most of them said to stay away from the Centerforce on early Fords due to problems. Noone said exactly what the problems were, assuming they were hanging up or chattering. Just rolling with what seemed to be the common consensus. How many miles do you have on your clutch? Does it get worked much or just daily driver? Willing to consider them if enough people are having good luck. JR
