im almost postive my clutch is gone, i went on a camping trip and it was pretty rough a day later just driving around i notice something was wrong, i ignored it for a day and know its really bad, i have no acceleration and it took me 2 miles to get to 40 miles and hour, im guessing its really fked up so i was thinking if im going to replace the clutch i might as well replace it with something nice, like a sport clutch or something. ive heard good things on the centerforce but i dont know. A couple friends and me will probably end up doing this in my garage over this weekend so i wanna get the clutch, what is the best brands etc and how much is it going cost and where should i get them. thank you for your time.

it took you 2 miles to accelerate to 40? is the clutch slipping?

im guessing major slipping or something im not sure ive talk to a lot ppl and they all say its the clutch, should i start taking out teh tranny and transfer case and stuff or do you think it just needs like some liquid.

removing the transmission is a job and if you've never done it before it might take you 2 days. When you're driving and you step on the gas does the engine rev up with out the truck accelerating as much as it should? if so that's definantly the clutch slipping. If you've explained your problem to people who know what they're talking about and they all say it's the clutch then it probably is.

I've wondered about the centerforce clutches as well. But, eveything i've heard is good. While you in there you would probably also want to replace your pressure plate, release bearings, and maybe your slave cylinder also. Like Doug said, removing a tranny is a job (i've never done it myself) you might as well go ahead and replace those other parts as well just to save yourself alot more work later down the road. Dead Link Removed has all the parts you would need to do the entire job minus the centerforce, but they probably could order it for you. It's probably waaay off, but when I was thinking I needed a new slave cyliner I priced everything around $250-300,.....like I said I really don't remember but it's around there, but that was with a napa clutch/pressure plate. Luckly all I needed was to bleed my clutch (wasn't releasing) been great ever since and that was about 3 mos. ago. Oh and while your at the parts shop pick up a haynes manuel ($10-15) it's got a really good step-by-step write up on how to do this job...I read it many times myself, it's a good investment anyway:)
Anyway hope that helps alittle....

Thats basically whats happening from what i can tell, couple of my frineds have said the same but then some guy just told me that i was suppose to adjust my clutch after i lift it...but i dont know if this is what it is then someone infrom so i can save some time to replacing the clutch etc, a couple months ago the tranny went out and we reaplced that so the transmission should be that much of a pain anymore, although i think this clutch has been replafced recently i dont understand why it would go out so quickly ....

Your clutch is hydralic so there are no lines to adjust. if the clutch wasnt installed correctly or the improper parts where used it's possible the clutch could go faster than it should. If you like to do burnout's and are heavy on the clutch in general it could cause it to wear out faster. it does sound like it's the clutch that's your problem. if the transmission was out recently it will probably make it alot easier to remove. i replaced my clutch about a month ago and i had to take my trans out again this week since i snapped the output shaft. only took me about 3 hours by myself with regular hand tools.

i c well i was trying to get the driveshafts off when i got home the other day and i couldnt even get a turn on any of them, ill have to borrow some power tools from a friend or something, i dont think the bolts on the trans will be too hard tho. And i think im going go with the centerforce but i gotta get some money first...lol but im thinking just get the clutch for centerforce and the flywheel and anyhting else that needs replace i can just buy from say napa.
