Alec, Thanks. But I already tried cleaning MAF. The problem still persited. When I raplced for it the idle prblem is gone now, but everything else is still exists.
Ex.When I accelerate it seems like the fuel injector is dirty. Sometimes the car not responding to the acceleration.
Alec, What is and where is TPS located. I'm realy frustrated with my 97 explorer. But hopefullly it will be fixed sometime soon. May be with your help.
Thanks alot.
Why are you even messing with the MAF or TPS for an intake air-temperature sensor (IAT) failure? They don't have anything to do with each other on your '97. I believe on the '95/'96 the IAT sensor might be incorporated into the MAF but it's not on the '97 and up. The IAT sensor is mounted in the rubber intake hose between the MAF and the TB. If you are getting errors related to the IAT sensor, I would start with the IAT sensor.
had the same code on my 97 f 350 company truck...it turns out when the machanic replaced a blowen hose on my power steering unit he pulled the air filter housing completly off to get to the rear section of the power steering unit ..seems as though the wire connecting to the IAT was lose giving off check engine light
Jason_25 - Some Explorers have an IAT sensor built into the MAF sensor. Those models do not have an external IAT sensor in the intake tube. I was thinking that it was the '95/'96 OHVs but I wasn't sure since mine is a '97 SOHC. My '97 is separate.
