Well let me start off I'm a new member and this is my first post I own a 2004 ford explorer sport trac xlt it is 4.0 v6 sohc 2w drive. so anyways about 3-4 months ago my water pump housing went bad and had It fixed shortly after that I started getting weird problems while slowly accelerating the Rpms would drop to nearly 0 and in an instant kick back up and then the the check engine light would pop up. It's been on ever since. So I tuned it up (plugs, wires, ignition coil) problem still continued. Cleaned out the injection and it still continued. Finally got my hands on a scanner and the p0193 code popped up saying fuel rail pressure sensor high input. I assume I just need to replace the fuel pressure sensor so I just bought one from the ford dealer ( outrageous price) going to install tomorrow and wanted to hear anyone's input on this. Any tips for installing or anything that could be of help would be appreciated.
Oh and one last thing I had a bad fuel pump taken care of about 2 years ago.
Thanks for any help!
